His life:
Thomas Gainsborough was born in Sudbury, Suffolk, England, on 14 May 1727. He was the youngest son of John Gainsborough, who was a woolen goods maker and weaver. He spent most of his childhood days at Gainsborough Street, Sudbury. Presently, it is known as a house museum. His interest in painting and drawing was started with impressing his father.
In 1740, he left his home to study art in London. In London, he had taken training from French engraver Hubert Gravelot. However, he becomes influenced by the school of English painter William Hogarth.

In 1746, Thomas Gainsborough got married to Margaret Burr. At that time, his paintings were not selling well. When he was in Suffolk, he painted the Rev.
